Day 5 - Sunday, September 21: New Martinsburg, West Virginia to Ripley, Ohio

START - New Martinsburg, West Virginia

END - Ripley, Ohio

MILES - 265 Miles

Weather - just like in the pictures

Best Thing that Happened - Thunder heads on my planned route - I opted to head south earlier toward the clearer edge of the storm line - no map detail, no GPS, just the sun and clouds herding me on.  That is the section of the map with the "?".  I did snap a picture of Lawrence County 27 and took that as a sign that whatever direction this new strategy would take me, my older brother had been down that road already.  This is the segment that brought me through the Amish Community and where I found the sign post.  The one truth that older brother may have uttered: "Motorcycle trips are magical".

Day ended here...

Greenwood Motel in Ripley, Ohio offers free WiFi and running water.

Owner the Budget Inn of America - last evening's stay.  I first talked with his teenage son who remarked that everyone in India rides motorcycles, as did he.  Memorable quote was he wouldn't feel safe driving a car in the United States, but he would riding a motorcycle.

Horsed & horseless carriages

I'll be seeing you tomorrow morning!
