Day 10 - Friday, September 26: Hagarville, AR to Longtown, OK

START - Hagarville, AR

END - Longtown, OK

MILES - 180 Miles

Breaking camp at the Lake Wedington Recreation Area with plans for an early start, met Looney from an adjacent site whose vintage Ural was the curiosity of the campground.

Some two magical hours of conversation later, I was on my way,

59 south out of Siloam Springs, crossing I40 and catching 9 west just beyond the Arkansas River and ending at Eufaula Lake. The route was quick and pleasant, with several

water crossings. Eufaula Lake is a sprawling reservoir fed by the Canadian River which connects it with the Arkansas. The area includes a couple state parks and numerous

marinas and campgrounds.

Camping on lake Eufaula at the Highway 9 East campground in Longtown, OK. Tent is about 50 feet from the water.

A couple hours yammering on the phone to figure out just where I am :-)

My campsite

Hope to post some photos and more tomorrow if I can locate a respectable pipeline in the southern regions of Norman as I skirt around OK City.
